A two-day course

For the third consecutive year, the Segura Horse Team had the great pleasure of welcoming Luca Moneta to the Versoix – La Bâtie Equestrian Centre for a two-day course during which the international Italian rider was able to share with several of our students and a dozen outside riders his experience and natural approach focused on the well-being and understanding of the horse.

The first day was devoted to free riding and riding in the lunging ring. The riders were thus able to benefit from Luca’s advice to better understand, apprehend and feel their horse. Objective: to ride with the horse.

On the second day, divided into four groups, the riders were able to work on the obstacle, with the instruction to concentrate only on the road and speed, leaving it to their horses to jump. Everyone was able to watch each other’s work with systematic feedback and a question-and-answer game with Luca, who did not hesitate to ride several mounts to complete his explanations.

A huge thank you to Luca for his involvement and his great availability during these two days spent together. Thank you for giving us the benefit of your experience, your philosophy and your unique approach to riding.
