SUNSHINE 2025
The next generation on the track for Patricia Segura

For this 2025 edition of the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Patricia Segura brought along her young horses, with the aim of getting back on track smoothly after the winter break.
This year’s team comprised Ilove (7), Jason (6) and Jupiter (5, entered out of competition). After several months without an official outing, the Sunshine Tour marked their return to the international circuit. Priority was given to training, building confidence and preparing for the season, rather than looking for immediate results. “I hadn’t taken the horses out again since last October at Sunshine. So it’s been a while since they’ve jumped on the track and I’ve been gradually getting them back on track for the season.”
Ilove, the 7-year-old mare, shone particularly brightly, doing very well in the 1.35m classes reserved for her generation. Jason, aged 6, also showed great promise in the 1.25m classes, confirming his potential for the rest of the season. Jupiter, competing in the 5-year-old classes, took advantage of the experience without any pressure for a result, the aim being simply to get him used to the atmosphere of major competitions.
The Sunshine Tour thus remains true to its role as a springboard for the new generation, and Patricia Segura confirms her commitment to training, transmission and respect for the horse.
